On June 13, we had the pleasure of welcoming the participants of the International Workshop of Dendro-anthracology to MUCBO. The event was organised by ArqueoUIB, the Research Group on Material Culture and Cultural Heritage at the University of the Balearic Islands.
The researchers, specialists in the study of archaeological wood remains and dendrochronological research, took part in a guided tour of the Botanical Garden led by curator Magdalena Vicens. The visit focused particularly on the garden’s tree and woody species, which are of special interest to their field of study. Afterwards, the group continued their visit with a tour of the Museum of Natural Sciences, guided by curator Rafel Matamales.
It was a real pleasure to share knowledge, landscape, and heritage with such a special group of scientists and scholars.
