Conservation of endemic, rare or endangered species and varieties of the Balearics, from other Mediterranean islands and their continental areas of influence.

Conservation of natural history collections
Conservation of geology collections (minerals and rocks), paleontology (fossils), botany (herbarium and germplasm bank), zoology (mollusks, arthropods, fish, reptiles, birds and mammals) of the Balearics, to use them in dissemination or first-level scientific study.

Divulgation and education
Divulgation and education for schools and adults, with living plant collections, exhibitions, conferences and publication of educational materials, such as posters or booklets.

Research
Research in different aspects of the natural sciences of the Balearics: conservation biology, reproductive biology of wild species, horticulture, gardening, geology, paleontology, zoology, ecology, etc.
