A MUCBO Gardener Undertakes Training Residency at the Marimurtra Botanical Garden

In early May, MUCBO gardener Aarón Llabrés travelled to Blanes to complete a training residency at the Marimurtra Botanical Garden, a renowned institution in the field of botany and green space management.

Over several days, Llabrés worked closely with Marimurtra’s gardening team, participating in the maintenance and care of the garden’s plant collections, as well as in the propagation area. This hands-on experience allowed him to deepen his knowledge of specific work methodologies and discover new strategies for species conservation and management.

This initiative continues the exchange that began last September, when fellow MUCBO gardener Jordi Llabrés, together with the education team, visited the Marimurtra Botanical Garden to learn more about its structure and operations. Through such initiatives, MUCBO reaffirms its commitment to building strong partnerships with other institutions, enriching professional perspectives, and promoting mutual learning.

These types of exchanges offer valuable opportunities to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices—both in technical and educational fields—and help strengthen the collaborative network of institutions dedicated to conserving and promoting natural heritage.
