On July 8, MUCBO hosted a very special event to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Serra de Tramuntana’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Cultural Landscape category, with the poetry recital “A Song to the Serra”.
Organized by the Fundació Mallorca Literària, the recital brought together three poets from different generations: Miquel Rayó, Pau Vadell i Vallbona, and Maria Garcia Garau, who, with remarkable sensitivity, offered the audience a selection of works inspired by the Serra de Tramuntana or shaped by experiences lived in these landscapes.
The audience of around fifty people also enjoyed works by classic authors such as Joan Alcover, Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel, and Miquel Costa i Llobera, which were recited by actor Guillem Galmés during the intervals between the contemporary poets’ readings.
Attendees were also able to find some relief from the intense summer heat with a glass of white wine, courtesy of MUCBO.
