Last Saturday, July 4, around 30 people enjoyed a lecture by Dr. Jaume Flexas, Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), member of INAGEA, and Scientific Director of the Sóller Botanical Garden. Through the lens of botany, he took attendees on a journey to every corner of the planet.
With a great sense of humor, Flexas spoke about the ecophysiology of plants that live in extreme environments, pushing the limits of their survival, such as those found in Antarctica, the Andes, and the Himalayas. He also gave insight into what scientific expeditions are like in these remote regions of the world
