On the morning of Sunday, April 6th, as the second activity of the MUCBO ornithology series, around twenty enthusiasts gathered at the Menut estate (Escorca) for a birdwatching walk—though on this occasion, due to the species present, the experience involved more listening than actual sightings. The event was organized by the Societat d’Amics and guided by ornithologist Antoni Fontanet.
Black and griffon vultures, booted eagles, and a few red kites could be spotted in the blue sky; meanwhile, Sardinian warblers, Eurasian collared doves, blue tits, chaffinches, and even a nightingale could be heard from within the forest. This time of year marks a seasonal transition: wintering birds have nearly all departed, and summer visitors are just arriving. All in all, it was a very pleasant morning enjoying nature and sharing experiences.
