Exhibition
Geology
The ground floor of the Museum is dedicated to the permanent Geology exhibition. Currently, it is undergoing a comprehensive renovation, which will be carried out in phases. From 2025, visitors will be able to see modules related to the geology of caves and groundwater. These explain the particularities of these underground environments, their formations (stalactites, stalagmites, phreatic speleothems, carbonate flows…) and the processes of origin and functioning of caves and aquifers, which are so important in our islands.
It is expected that this exhibition, which will increase over time, will also address the concept of geological time, minerals, rocks, the uses of geology, geomorphology, and tectonics.
