The MUCBO Volunteer Group Collaborates with Students from Santa Magdalena Sofia School

The MUCBO volunteer group accompanied the Biology students from the Santa Magdalena Sofia School in Palma as they began their study of botany and geology with a field trip to Carnatge beach.

During the visit, the students were able to explore the beach-dune systems, paleodunes, and the rich biodiversity of the area, discovering the adaptations of dune plants to this unique environment and their role in coastal protection. The day combined theory and practice, with explanations from both the teachers and the MUCBO volunteers, who shared their knowledge of dune flora and its ecological importance.

It was an educational and inspiring experience that highlighted the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems and promoted learning in direct contact with nature.
