Last November, the naturalist, member of the Society of Friends, and collaborator at the MUCBO, Lluc Garcia, gave a lecture on the faunal study of the irrigation channels located on the estate where our facilities are currently situated.
Thanks to environmental grants from CaixaBank, in recent months, the MUCBO has been working on restoring the conditions of the spring and the irrigation channels, as well as studying the populations of crustaceans that inhabit them. One of the springs, in particular, features an extremely interesting faunal set with numerous endemic species. This gives it a unique character, as these species do not exist outside of Mallorca.
