On the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd, we had the pleasure of hosting a very enriching course organized by the Local Varieties Association. The course, taught by Llorenç Payeras, an agricultural engineer, expert in local varieties, and employee of our institution, saw great participation and interest.
During the event, participants gained essential knowledge about:
• Basic guidelines for starting a plantation of local varieties.
• Market research and task planning.
• Various traditional varieties: citrus fruits, stone fruits, sweet fruits, and nuts.
Additionally, the day included a practical visit to the MUCBO | Botanic Garden’s fruit plantation, an inspiring and unique space to learn about local varieties and their adaptation to our territory
