On November 21st, Sebastià Jaume Ramis from the University of the Balearic Islands gave the talk “Rats, Parasites, and Snails: An Endless Cycle,” focusing on the arrival of the rat lungworm (Angiostrongylus cantonensis) in Mallorca and its ecological and health implications.
On November 28th, José Antonio de los Ríos Solera from the University of Barcelona delved into the relationships between parasites and reptiles, highlighting their influence on biodiversity and coevolution.
These lectures have strengthened interest in a key discipline for understanding ecosystems and public health.
