On December 6, the final activity of the 2025 Ornithology Cycle took place in s’Albufera d’Alcúdia, with a birdwatching day in the Natural Park.
It was a very complete morning: participants were able to observe birds and waterfowl from the viewing points of s’Albufera, as well as the spectacular flamingos. The group consisted of 18 attendees, the maximum allowed for these observation outings, and both adults and children listened to the explanations of the ornithologist guide Toni Fontanet. Due to the great interest these outings generate, the Societat d’Amics del MUCBO has announced that they will continue organising them in different places and times of the year.
This year there have been a total of five activities, from April to December: the talk-workshop “De què parlen els ocells?” with Cristina Fiol, the observation outing to Menut (Escorca) with Antoni Fontanet, the literary presentation “Guia de caixes niu per a aus i caixes refugi per a quiròpters de Balears” with authors Cristina Fiol París, David García and Xavier Canyelles, the outing-talk “L’estudi de les aus mitjançant l’anellament científic” with Cristina Fiol, and this final activity in s’Albufera.
At the beginning of next year, the next cycle will be organised and the dates of the new activities will be announced on social media and the website.
