Once again, MUCBO welcomes the new school year with the aim of sharing its scientific collections and bringing knowledge of our region’s biodiversity closer to students of all educational levels.
For the 2026-2027 school year, we are pleased to present an updated and expanded educational programme featuring new activities and resources designed to encourage active learning, curiosity, and a deeper connection with the natural environment:
- New educational experiences, such as the Sensory Walk, an activity designed for all ages that invites participants to explore the Botanical Garden through their senses and develop a closer connection with nature.
- The new Botanical Cluedo, an inquiry-based educational challenge in which participants must solve a mystery by following clues hidden throughout the Garden’s terraces. Through direct observation, they will discover plant diversity, adaptation strategies, and the characteristics of the main botanical families, while putting their problem-solving skills, scientific thinking, and teamwork abilities to the test.
- New workshops and activities that broaden the range of topics schools can explore and strengthen the learning of natural sciences through practical and participatory experiences.
- Tailor-made workshops, a flexible format that allows content, methodologies, and objectives to be adapted to the specific needs of each school.
- School outreach activities, making it possible to bring MUCBO’s educational resources and programmes directly to schools, ensuring access to our collections and learning experiences regardless of location.
With this renewed educational offer, MUCBO continues to strengthen its role as a leading centre for learning, science, and the discovery of the biodiversity of the Balearic Islands, promoting meaningful educational experiences that connect students with the natural heritage of our region.
