Once again, the MUCBO – Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences and Sóller Botanical Garden is taking part in Les Journées del Modernisme, an initiative that is celebrating its second edition this year and aims to bring the heritage, history and identity of Sóller closer to the public.
On 16, 17, 18 and 20 October, Sóller will once again travel back in time to discover one of the most representative periods in the municipality’s history through an extensive programme of cultural and participatory activities. Guided tours, exhibitions, music, dance, literature, parades, period costumes, workshops and family activities will fill the streets and emblematic spaces of Sóller.
The MUCBO will be taking part with children’s workshops on Saturday 17 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the courtyard of Can Dulce, an activity designed to introduce children to Modernist heritage in a fun, creative and age-appropriate way. Through these activities, children will be able to discover different aspects of Modernist Sóller and understand the importance of learning about and preserving the heritage that forms part of our surroundings.
The MUCBO team is delighted to be part of this initiative once again and, through our workshops, to help ensure that children can also play a leading role in this journey through the history of Sóller.
