MUCBO takes part in the Biennal B with an artistic expedition to the sea

Throughout July, MUCBO took part in Biennal B, a contemporary art project promoted by Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma and the Consell de Mallorca, in collaboration with the Maritime Museum of Mallorca.

In this context, artist Alberto Baraya presented a piece created from an experience along our coastline, currently on display at the Maritime Museum. Building on this connection with the local environment, the older children from MUCBO’s summer workshops joined the educational initiative Expedition Sóller, an activity led by Baraya himself.

Following their visit to the exhibition, the children reflected on the marine environment and their immediate surroundings through creativity and critical thinking. It was an opportunity to bring together science, art, and education — observing, thinking, and imagining new futures for our sea.

At MUCBO, we were delighted to be part of this project and we thank all the institutions involved for their collaboration.
