Designer María Abando presents this artistic proposal developed as part of the Radiolaria project. Abando transforms Mallorcan sheep’s wool into luminous sculptures inspired by radiolarians, tiny marine plankton organisms known for their extraordinary shapes.

Using traditional felting techniques, the artist brings together art, nature and tradition to give new life to a local material that is currently undervalued. Light filtering through the wool creates warm atmospheres that evoke the organic forms found in nature.

The project champions Mallorcan wool as a sustainable resource while highlighting the island’s livestock farming heritage. Bringing together creativity, biomimicry and the circular economy, the project invites us to rethink our relationship with materials and the land.

The exhibition will be open until 21 February 2027.
