On May 8th, MUCBO hosted the opening of the exhibition Tracing Nature in Silver by artist Jeannine Cook — a delicate and poetic proposal that brings together art and science through the ancient technique of silverpoint drawing.
Around fifty people attended this special event, held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere. During the evening, attendees had the opportunity to admire the artworks, some of which were sold during the opening itself, showing the immediate impact and public interest in the artist’s work.
The exhibition, which will be open to the public until June 18th, invites us to reflect on the beauty and fragility of the flora shared between the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. Through a technique that is both subtle and demanding, Jeannine Cook captures the ephemeral essence of nature with exceptional precision and sensitivity.
The event was attended by the artist herself, who shared her creative process with the audience, as well as her motivation to use art as a way to highlight the need to protect the plant biodiversity that surrounds us.
From MUCBO, we would like to thank everyone who joined us for this opening and warmly invite all to visit the exhibition. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the work of this internationally renowned artist, whose pieces combine delicacy, ecological commitment, and technical mastery.
