2018, the Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences hosted the first Balearic Entomology Day. Years after that successful first edition, MUCBO and its Friends Society are organizing this event again. Its main objective is to bring together researchers working on any aspect related to insects or other terrestrial arthropods of the Balearic Islands, both from the academic or professional field and from amateurs.
This second Balearic Entomology Day aims to be a meeting for knowledge exchange, analysis, and scientific discussion of the work being carried out on the entomological biodiversity of the Balearic Islands (insects and other terrestrial arthropods) or any other aspect related to entomology in general in our Islands (taxonomy, ecology, conservation, pest control, health, biogeography, xenodiversity, genetics, history, etc.).
The second Balearic Entomology Day will be held at MUCBO on May 31, 2025. The call for participation is now open. We look forward to seeing you!
