MUCBO and the Baleària Foundation join forces to bring science and nature closer to society

From MUCBO | Sóller Botanical Garden – Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences, we are pleased to announce the signing of a new collaboration agreement with the Baleària Foundation, established to strengthen our educational, scientific and environmental outreach work.

The agreement, signed by our manager, Daniel Gallego, and the president of the Baleària Foundation, Ricard Pérez, marks a new alliance to promote cultural, social and environmental activities that serve both the territory and its people.

Through this agreement, we join the Baleària Cultural programme — an initiative that supports projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), fostering sustainable development, social cohesion and scientific culture.

This collaboration will allow us to combine resources and efforts to expand research, outreach and educational initiatives, especially in areas such as Balearic flora, animal biodiversity, paleontology and the impact of climate change on our natural surroundings.

At MUCBO, we see this as a highly positive step forward. We share with the Baleària Foundation the belief that knowledge, culture and respect for nature are key tools in building more resilient and aware societies.

We sincerely thank the Baleària Foundation for their trust and commitment, and we are confident that this collaboration will bear fruitful and enriching results in the coming months.
