We continue the Natural Conferences series, a proposal by the Societat d’Amics that weaves together science and music to bring us closer to nature through multiple perspectives, hosted at MUCBO.
The island we affectionately call “sa Roqueta” is, roughly speaking, about 5 million years old. However, much of the geological material that forms it is far older — in some cases, over 300 million years old.
In this talk, led by Josep Juárez, a researcher at MUCBO, we’ll take you on a true journey through time. We’ll explore, in light of recent paleontological discoveries, the fascinating forms of life that have inhabited Mallorca — from long before it became the land we know today, up to the more recent stages of its geological past.
An invitation to travel through time… with your mind wide open.
