CONCERT-CONFERENCE WITH KERYDA PLANT MUSIC

Did you know that plants can make music?

At the MUCBO, thursday OCTOBER 9th at 19h | Botanical Garden, surrounded by nature and under the evening light, we invite you to discover an extraordinary sound and sensory experience: a musical journey through the vibrations of living plants. The duo Keryda, made up of Sara Evan on Celtic harp and Damien Papin on double bass, presents an unforgettable talk-concert where science, art, and nature come together in a surprising way.

Thanks to a specific technology ( the Device U1 Music of the Plants ) the vibrations emitted by plants are captured and transformed into audible sounds. Using sensors placed between a leaf and the roots, the plant’s electrical potential is detected and translated into music. In this way, plants become involuntary, yet very present, instrumentalists in a live, unrepeatable performance.

The event will begin with a short scientific introduction to explain how it’s possible to “listen” to plants, followed by an improvisational session. The harmonies of the harp and the rhythms of the double bass will invite the plants to respond, creating music that can only be born in that precise moment, in that place, with those specific plants.

This is an intimate and magical gathering where the Garden itself becomes both stage and instrument. A moment to listen to what we normally cannot hear, to perceive plant life in a new and profound way. Keryda’s music doesn’t just move us emotionally—it invites us to rethink our relationship with the natural world, the biodiversity around us, and the silence that suddenly turns out to be full of sound.

An open invitation for all audiences, designed to be enjoyed with fully awakened senses. A poetic, immersive experience that can only be lived in person .

Tickets at the entrance – 12€
