In April 2025, we will begin an Ornithology Cycle organized by the Friends Society of MUCBO, aimed at raising awareness of the birds of our islands.
On April 5th, Cristina Fiol, a biologist dedicated to studying and promoting the biological diversity of the islands, particularly in the field of ornithology, will offer a talk and workshop titled “WHAT DO BIRDS TALK ABOUT?”. In this first activity of the cycle, we will learn how bird songs are produced, what types of sounds they make, and what biological function they serve. Additionally, we will head out to the Garden where we will learn to distinguish the most significant features of different bird groups and recognize the songs of the most common birds.
