On July 4th, a group of professionals from the Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs (IMAS) took part in a forest bathing session at the MUCBO | Botanic Garden, guided by certified forest bathing guide Malena Bibiloni. The session was designed as a wellbeing experience and a chance to connect with nature in a privileged setting.
Although not part of MUCBO’s usual programme, activities like this highlight the Garden’s potential as a space for health and personal growth, and offer a different way to connect with the collections and with nature in general.
The fact that an institution like IMAS supports this practice as a tool to promote emotional wellbeing and group cohesion gives credibility and legitimacy to initiatives that explore nature as a source of health.
At MUCBO, we are pleased to have hosted this experience and to contribute, through the garden, to a more holistic and human-centred view of nature.
