The Ice Age Flora: Plants of the Balearic Islands During the Quaternary

The MUCBO | Museum of Natural Sciences will create illustrations of 40 plant species typical of the last Ice Age, usually adapted to colder climates. Illustrations will also be made of relict species, which today can only be found in sheltered and humid areas or on the highest peaks of our mountain ranges.
This activity has been funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment of the Government of the Balearic Islands, as part of the 2025 environmental education activities support programme.
