On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Obra Cultural Balear in Sóller and the 11th edition of En-Viu, MUCBO is pleased to host an evening of poetry and music in which the voice of Robert Graves, deeply connected to the landscape of Deià and the Serra de Tramuntana, engages in dialogue with one of the most authentic expressions of Mallorcan popular culture: glosa.
The poems will be recited in their original language, English, as well as in Catalan. Inspired by the poems, the glosadors will create spontaneous exchanges between written poetry, oral poetry, and the sounds of the guitar. All of this will take place in a natural setting of shared creativity.
A bar service with drinks and snacks will be available.
Poetry readings by: Thomas Graves, Antoni Rigo (poet), and Àngel Terrón (poet).
Glosa performers: Cati Eva Canyelles, Mateu “Xurí”, Miquel Àngel Adrover.
Guitar: Thomas Graves.
Admission: €3 (free for Obra members, MUCBO members, and children under 12).
Organized by: Obra Cultural Balear and Arrel’Art.
With the collaboration of: Sóller Town Council.
