Lluc Garcia explained the unique adaptations of cave-dwelling species: atrophied eyes, lack of pigmentation, extreme sensitivity to environmental changes, and more.<\/p><p>The session also shed light on Mallorca\u2019s historical and scientific role as a pioneer in the study of subterranean fauna \u2014 a key contribution to the field of biospeleology on an international scale.<\/p><p>The event sparked great interest and left the audience wanting more.
