We will paint the upper edges of the candle holders in gold or silver for an elegant finish and varnish them to give the paper extra durability.<\/p><p>Most of the papers we will use are hand-printed using traditional techniques, and all come from small family-run workshops in the Kyoto region and its surroundings, where a deep and delicate artisanal knowledge is preserved.<\/p><p>In addition to the hands-on work, we will also talk about the symbolic meaning of flowers in Japanese culture, such as the sakura (\u685c), or cherry blossom, representing the fleeting beauty and natural cycle of life, and the kiku (\u83ca), or chrysanthemum, symbol of longevity, nobility, and serenity\u2014deeply rooted in tradition.<\/p><p>The activity will be conducted in Spanish.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creative workshop with Eva from LILI\u2019S LOFT, where we\u2019ll create decorative candle holders using authentic Japanese chiyogami paper with floral designs.
