It has played\u2014and continues to play\u2014a crucial role in preserving the most threatened Balearic flora.<\/p><p>Currently, the bank safeguards nearly 5,000 seed batches from the islands\u2019 flora, which have already been used to restore populations of endangered or even extinct species in their natural habitats.<\/p><p>This October, Magdalena Vicens participated in both the annual meeting of the Mediterranean Plant Conservation Centers Network (GENMEDA) and the European Native Seed Conservation Network (ENSCONET).
