{"id":12041,"date":"2026-06-24T14:41:50","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T12:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mucbo.org\/bona-acollida-dels-tallers-dentomologia-a-menorca\/"},"modified":"2026-06-30T14:53:34","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T12:53:34","slug":"bona-acollida-dels-tallers-dentomologia-a-menorca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mucbo.org\/en\/bona-acollida-dels-tallers-dentomologia-a-menorca\/","title":{"rendered":"A day of entomology workshops in Menorca"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 20 June, the headquarters of GOB-Menorca hosted the Menorcan edition of the workshops held as part of the <strong>3rd Balearic Entomology Conference<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During these sessions, entomology enthusiasts and researchers had the opportunity to expand their knowledge of arthropods while learning scientific photography and illustration techniques.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshops included <strong>\u201cArthropods on a White Background: <em>In Situ<\/em> Studio Photography\u201d<\/strong>, led by Joan Marqu\u00e8s Faner; <strong>\u201cBee Identification\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cHow to Accurately Draw Insects and Other Arthropods\u201d<\/strong>, both delivered by Joan D\u00edaz Calafat. The latter workshop proved especially popular, and participants were able to take home a cloth bag decorated with the scientific illustrations they had learned to create.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference, organised by MUCBO and the Societat d\u2019Amics, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Education and Universities and the support of Illes Balears Sostenibles, serves as a meeting point for zoologists, entomologists and anyone interested in discovering and learning more about the science of entomology.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"945\" height=\"1260\" src=\"https:\/\/mucbo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-tallers-Menorca-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12037\" style=\"width:411px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mucbo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-tallers-Menorca-2.jpeg 945w, https:\/\/mucbo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-tallers-Menorca-2-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/mucbo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Foto-tallers-Menorca-2-600x800.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 20 June, the headquarters of GOB-Menorca hosted the Menorcan edition of the workshops held as part of the 3rd Balearic Entomology Conference.
