As part of the FROM GARDEN TO KITCHEN workshop series, on August 9, we’ll shine a spotlight on a fruit that is both iconic and often overlooked: prickly pears.
Agricultural expert Llorenç Payeras will introduce us to the four traditional varieties of this hardy, emblematic plant from our landscape, delving into its cultivation, adaptation, and uses. Afterwards, chef Juanan Fernández will surprise us with culinary creations that breathe new life into this fruit, showing that it has a rightful place in contemporary cuisine.
A workshop to rediscover a product rich in history — one that brings together land, memory, and culinary creativity.
Activity funded by the Conselleria d’Agricultura, Pesca i Alimentació | Fons de Garantia Agrària i Pesquera de les Illes Balears (FOGAIBA)
